The Valley of Almost True Things
Every small town has stories nobody can quite confirm or deny. In this one, a set of paw prints that don't belong to any known dog lead three kids past the old church, the fountain, and the Luna theater, and straight into a valley that's been keeping secrets since 1921.
The story
In this valley along the Ohio River, the mills mostly closed, but the strangeness only grew.
This collection includes short stories of all shapes, colors, and dimensions, where ordinary people walk blindly past the uncanny every day. Some stories are funny, some are eerie, some are quietly tender. Stories where murals come to life. Tales where church bells ring from nowhere. Mysteries where tunnels are misplaced, leading to unimaginable places.
All of them belong to a valley that is more than mills and hills, one that remembers more than it lets on, one that keeps its secrets close until someone goes looking.

What inspired it
Growing up, we all had those traditions or places in town that would inspire our imaginations to run wild. We believed in ghosts, thought the creak behind us was more than a loose floor board, and thought if we just believed hard enough the magic might come to life. These stories combine our love for our town with the imagination of our childhoods.
